Adnan Tahirovic

12745654_929813270420455_7235721338934133843_n-1.jpg Adnan Tahirovic is a certified yoga therapist, internationally known Yoga teacher, licensed osteopath (D.O.M.P), licensed massage therapist (Shiatsu, Swedish, and Tui na), and a former professional athlete.
Born in former Yugoslavia, Adnan had left the country at the age of 19 for France. For over seven years, he studied under the legendary martial art master Dominique Valera and fought professionally in martial arts, karate, and kickboxing.
In 1991, after having moved to Canada, he discovered the world of yoga. Adnan studied with Marcia Solomon, Richard Freeman, and many other very accomplished yoga masters. In quite a short period, Adnan had become one of the most advanced yoga practitioners in Ottawa and, ultimately, a co-owner of Santosha, one of the first yoga studios in Ottawa.
In 2007, on a quest for acquiring more knowledge, Adnan moved to Taipei City, Taiwan. For over four years, he worked as a senior teacher at Space Yoga. Through regular classes, workshops, intensive sessions, and Teacher Training Adnan taught the beauty of yoga to thousands of students in Taiwan, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China and Thailand. While in Asia, Adnan studied Tui na - an ancient form of a therapeutic massage as well as Traditional Taiwanese Structural Therapy.
Starting in 2011, upon having returned to Canada, Adnan studied for a five-year degree in Osteopathy. He has been offering Yoga Therapy (since 2011), and practicing Osteopathy (since 2014) in his private clinic in Ottawa. Adnan is fluent in French, German, English, speaks Mandarin and studies Japanese. His sense of humor and compassion shine through as his teaching style moves his students beyond their perceived limits.
